Anyone here have the same issue I'm having
1999 3.0 cl with 144k
First symptom was abs light on randomly and would shut off and abs worked fine
Then this happened more frequently
Now abs light on always and it seems the abs pump is dead, no priming sound when the key is turned on. code on cel flash is abs module. Pretty sure of it...
Is there a fix for the existing pump or do I have to take a chance on a used pump. I read somewhere there is a seal or o-ring that leaks internally. New is way too pricey for my budget at this time.

 

You can replace the o-rings, but it's a giant pain. I would get your codes pulled and see if it's just a wheel speed sensor first.

 

I know its the pump for sure. It doesnt even prime when the key is turned on.
It looks like a pretty simple part, I was thinking take it apart and clean and replace any o-ring type seals. Has anyone attempted this before???

 

You have to get the ABS Code 1st:

I've noticed that my 97 ABS Modulator sells for more than the newer model units. If your CL uses the newer style, it will be cost effective to replace your unit. Get the code 1st, then google the code or search this forum.
