so i just got this Acura for a really good price mostly because the drivers door will not open at all. can manually move the bars that control the door locking mechanism but still will not open and was wondering if anyone had any advice for me of what the problem is and how to go about fixing it... and when i unlock manually from the passenger side the door will open but it makes an awful sound so im just at a loss on what to do..? Please help

 

no one has had this problem and been able to fix?

 

• For Driver's Side Door: The lever to unlock the door, if it doesn't return to the same place after you pull it, remove the door panel and check to see if it is disconnected or some plastic is broken. Use a plastic pry tool to remove the door panel, they sell a kit at Harbor Freight, PM me for pics if you need to know what they look like. They are designed for prying things out. A flat screw driver will work, but you risk damaging the door panel.
• Passenger's Side Door: A noisy door means either the hinges are worn out or you need to WD-40/grease the hinge. The cheap easy thing to test 1st is WD-40. Grease is cheap at Walmart. Grease is great for a lot of moving parts.
