Just got her out of summer storage, got the battery fully charged, and she's pulsing when in idle. Revs up to 2500 then drops. Doesn't seem to go away but then again I haven't driven much yet so I haven't noticed.

The cycle lasts about 3 seconds and there's some sucking on the tail when it does.

Edit: as soon as I put her into gear the pulsing goes away and there's steady rpms. I don't think it's anything like a blown cylinder or spark plug, but I'm not a mechanic.

I haven't changed any fluids or filters yet, and it's possible that the leftover fuel is bad.

Ideas?

Plus, rear brakes are very sticky, I was told to take them off and find the sliding pin and scrub it down with a brass brush. Good advice?

Very possible gas is bad. Ethanol attracts water. Even STABIL had to change their formula.

 

I had this happen, I used a fuel system cleaner and it took care of it. My guy who i go to said it is very likely bad gas like another user stated.

Happened to me, idler valve was sticky. Friend of mine who is Honda certified looked into it and just use an air gun to clear it up.
