97 3.0 Transmission OD question ?
I changed the transmission fluid on my 97 3.0 a week and a half ago.Now I'm noticing on the freeway that the engine is turning close to three thousand RPM at 70 miles per hour.It used to turn around 2500.The transmission shifts fine and doesn't seem to be slipping.
How fast does your engine turn at 70 in OD?
I'm thinking I shouldn't have changed the fluid now because the transmission was perfect be I touched it.

I know on higher milage cars not to touch the transmission fluids because they seem to get use to whats in it. Now if the only thing that changed is the R.P.M. at which it is shifting then it doesn't sound like its a problem. If it is not slipping it, you are in the clear. Good luck
