2.3CL Keeps Stalling in Neutral !!
Hey guys,
Im driving a 5 speed 1998 Acura 2.3CL Premium.
It seems that my car has been stalling for the last 14 months now. I have taken it to the Acura Dealer in two different cities and they have not been able to get to the bottom of it.
At traffic lights and at idle it occasionally shudders and then stalls and has to be re-started. Its starts right up though.
Recently while I am driving I notice that it has a more jerky ride as if the fuel is not being able to smoothly power the vehicle.
This is the work that I have had done to the car in light of this problem:
1. I had a new ignition switch installed
2. I had a fuel induction cleaning done. Took about 45 mins with the car at 2500 rpm
3. New NGK spark plugs
4. I installed a new Fuel Filter
5. New Air Filter
6. They adjusted the idle as they thought it was the culprit. It did not help
Here are my guesses.
Is it my mass airflow sensor or maybe my fuel pump.
I would greatly appreciate any advice you guys could throw at me cause I am getting real tired of this issue. The weird thing is that it acts up sometimes and at other times the idle is just fine and the vehicle flies on the road.....
Thanks you all!
Raj

I dont think you have a mass airflow sensor, the fuel pump could cause something similar, but it seems to be to quirky for that. I would look at the ignition system, maybe something like an ignitor or even just a loose connection somewhere.
