got a 2.2 manual. i first noticed yesterday that when accelerating very slowly even while shifting, it sounds like there is an exhaust leak coming from the front of the car. well today, it was very intense and my car is shaking violently. also, i have had a check engine light on for about 2 years for my o2 sensor. Today while driving the CEL flashed several times. I'm afraid of what the response might be, any thoughts?

 

Usually a flashing CEL means an engine miss. Faults could be plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, coil. Most likely is plugs.

What code is set? A new O2 sensor is <$100 bucks (<$50 for universal) and will pay for itself quickly w/ todays prices.
