Newbie with 98 2.3 CL A/T. I just bought the car. I doesn't want to shift into second gear. I can rev in first and manually jump to D4 and it will slip into 4th. After reading several threads, looks like I need a tranny!! I have found one from a 98 but the owner says it is a 2.2??
Are the transmission interchangeable?
Will other years/makes/models work in my car?

2.2 was 97 only but I think either would fit a 2.x engine
