Car is throwing out trouble codes like crazy. my vss is bad, which is an easy fix. my map was bad. bought one from partstrain.com, it wasn't the right one, the dealership matched the online price (economy must be HORRIBLE, dealerships are haggling).

the engine speed in neutral consistently jumps between 1000 and 2000 rpm.

my two other trouble codes were the map and the tps. i bought a tps, though i don't think i tuned it right. in installed the map and it made no noticeable difference.

question is this. will a map sensor malfunction cause an engine to rev uncontrollably, or is this the poorly tuned (high voltage reading) tps? i won't have time to try and tune it on saturday, and hopefully this will resolve the issue. if not where do i go from there? thanks for the input.

Only reason I've seen for idle oscillating up/down is excess air supply from leaking PCV hose, vacuum line, Fast Idle Thermo Valve stuck open, intake manifold leak, etc.
