1997 2.2 Misfire
1997 2.2 Misfire
I have a 97 2.2CL w/ 243,XXX miles on it. The car started running hot but I shut it off before it got above half way up the gauge. Towed it home and ran a pressure test on the cooling system, had a hole in my heater hose. So I replaced all hoses and thermostat and flushed and filled the cooling system. 2 weeks later is when it started missing. I have replaced plugs, cap, wires, rotor button, O2 sensors, fuel pump, fuel filter, checked injectors, compression test. All are fine but it is still missing from idle up to 2500 rpm. It is still missing above that RPM but I can't feel it as much. P1300, P0302, P0303, P0304 are the codes it is throwing. It was throwing an EGR code before and now it isn't. I looked around the site and saw people saying to replace EGR valve, Idle Air Control Valve, Camshaft Sensor, Crankshaft Sensor or have the valves adjusted. I have taken the car to two different shops after giving up with my knowledge and both places are stumped. One shop specialized in hot rods and the other in foreign cars, both have no clue. Any other suggestions?
