I just turned 18 and i finally bought my first car after working all summer. I chose the CL. I still work at my job while I attend my last year of HS. My plans include: painting wheels, side window visors, HIDs, yellow fog light bulbs. I would love coils but id have to save up for a while. I'm new to the site and I'm getting a lot of ideas from other first gen CLs!

Got the HID's and Fogs. I feel like i should get HID's for the fogs.

Should i get coilovers (Function Forms for $550) or wheels (XXR's or Enkei RPF01's for about $500) first?

Took the OEM sunroof visor off but this thing is the result and wont come off. how would you guys go about fixing this?

I'll Throw in a pic of the nothing special interior lol.

ACURAZINE MAKES ME WANT TO SPEND EVERY PENNY I HAVE TO MAKE MY CAR AS CLEAN AS EVERYONES ON HERE LOL!!

Your car looks great as is. Sometimes simple and clean is better than pouring all of your money into your car to make it look crazy different.

Drop it and lose the front license plate frame. You'll be money after that

those wheels are pretty legit, you should hold on to those for a while and go for coils.

did you try goo gone for the sunroof visor?

do you guys think its too many colors having the 6k. HIDS yellow fog lights and amber signal lights? I'm thinking of putting 6k hids in the fog lights to match better since my local shop sells hids dor only 35 bux

Also
What is the way to go
Struts + coilover sleeves
Struts + lowering springs
Or full coilovers

Best looking/functional fog light bulbs are yellow halogens (Nokya). HID's would be too hot in an a fog light enclosure as small as the 1st gen CL. As far as the paint on the roof, the wind deflector was on so long that it dug into the paint. Should have left it on. Lowers the road noise anyway.

yeah its pretty great. i like the feeling of owning my own car rather than letting mommy and daddy use theirs like everyone else at my school lol.

sorry i have no info on the oem fogs as well. it was hard enough trying to find what bulbs they use lol! I'm glad they came on the car when i got it.

right now i have some ebay yellow bulbs in my fogs but i just ordered some 6k leds to see if it'd look better.
the deflector looks like a bow to me lol.

are those speakers going into the ones behind the back seats, sort of above the trunk area? I'm not getting any sound from that one so I'm wondering if I just get new slappers that it'll start working.

i put the 9x6's there. The bass kinda sucks but I'm gonna try hooking up my amp. I'd check my wires first before I bought new ones.

Niiiice, finally some suspension! Looks like a great deal on all that work btw, especially if it was including labor. Either that or I'm too used to the crazy BMW prices for my DD lol.

I need to do my tb/water pump soon. When I bought it the guy said he had it done at 110k but even back then it felt like he was just saying that to get me to buy the car. 191k now so I'm playing with fire at this point I think. Gonna attempt it myself I think! Great deal you got though and the drop looks nice. I have the same color CL!
