Since there is no formal DIY for a Transmission Cooler...

1. Where can I buy the correct one, and what would you recommended. (98' 3.0 CL)

2. Do they really help prolong the life of the Car.
(miles on my car 69,000)

3. Could anyone help with a DIY?

I would help if I could, but I have the exact same question. I have a 99' 3.0 CL with 126,000 miles that was just purchased this month. I want to know what the best transmission cooler would be for this car and about how much it would cost. Anyone info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Im getting ready to do this on my 97

Go to the parts store and pick up a Hayden brand cooler... they had tons of sizes and can order anything. The one im looking to get is at O'smilies and its 35$ comes with everything.

install looks simple, I decided to put one on cause my radiator took a crap so ill kill two birds with one stone and do them both. The factory cooler makes a single pass through the radiator = no good.
