Is there a IAT sensor?

What's up guys/girls. I had a question and if anyone can help it would much be appreciate it! I bought this speed chip that's supposed to hook up to, according to thier instructions, to the ITCS (intake temp control sensor) Now, Usually those things are on the air box itself but I took my air box out last year and put in an AEM cold air intake. I don't remember seeing any sensor on that box. I even dug it up and inspected it last night. So I called an Acura service dealer today and they told me that if there was a sensor it would be on the air box or somewhere around there. I don't see anything around where the air box would og been. So my questionis,..is there such a sensor on a 1999 Acura 3.0 CL? IAT ot ITCS? Please, someone clear this madness in my head!

don't bother with this "chip"

Is this one of those "chips" off ebay? if it is all it is a resistor you can buy at like radioshack for a dollar... it advances the timing causing your RPMS to rev without pressing the gas.... good way to mess up your car and there's no real HP increase

No this isn't a resistor at all. In fact it kinda looks like a cable box. It has two USB wires that plug into it. One is for power and the other is for the sensor. It also has two puch buttons on it that has LEDs. The instructions tell you to cut the two wires that lead to the sensor but leaving about three inches of wire to the sensor. The one wire hooks up to the box via usb and you slpice that wire into the longer end of the wire that led to the sensor. The 2nd wire also hooks into the box via usb and you splice that one into the pigtail of the sensor. Apparently, it's supposed to do something but not what those resistors do. I didn't but it from ebay though. I bought it from a local import speed shop in Binghamton NY. Sounded like a good idea when I bought it but now I'm kinda weary.

if you took it apart it would be just a resistor inside. especially since thiers only two wires.. a resistor has two sides hince 2 wires. i hope you didnt spend too much on that thing.
