When I was looking at kits for the CL and for my 07 Si I made sure I was getting one which is thoroughly tested(preferably water proof even if submerged), with a really good warranty, and from a person who responded promptly to emails

how is your kit fairing? IF they are still working for that price, thats an amazing deal.

It all depends on the color and output of your HID system, I don't need them with my HID projectors, but I still use them sometimes on my 4runner just in really dark areas. But after I swap out my fogs, with HID's I don't think I'll need my highs

I had to change the ballasts but they were done under warranty and i kept one of the old ones. Not bad, and still working great!!
i bought an even better kit for the Si which was a direct plug and play (no wire harness for power), which worked great but i sold the civic and took it out. waiting to finish my project car so i can throw them in.
As for highs, i barely use em, but hey are mandatory for inspection in NYS

All of our products originally come with a standard one (1) year warranty. Since we are the #1 HID company in the automotive industry, we are offering an extended 12 month warranty option with your purchase. Please refer to our warranty page for further details.

Extended 12 month Warranty

$39.99
That doesn't seem like a great deal, considering it costs $99.99 for a new set of bulbs from them. There's got to be companies who offer a better warranty.

Yes the kits are a LOT easier now a days for most people, this guide actually helped me modify my xenondepot harnesses because the plugs were wrong
