Exhaust tips or glasspacks?
Anyone know of any exhaust tips or glasspacks that'll make my car just a little bit louder? I dont want it to sound like a ricer, just a nice little roar. Nothing too expensive

you can get a glasspack resonator and retain the stock muffler, Gnates running that setup right now.. or you can fork out like 30$ for a glasspack muffler off ebay and just weld it in place of the stock muffler

i dont think tips will do anything, but just get a different muffler. you have the 2.x right? the thing about those is that you have an i4; youre never going to get a deep roar like the v8's. itll usually sound somewhat like a lawnmower. =(

well higherflow (without going to drastically large) will give your engine a little more breathing room. aka upgrading to a 2.5" muffler. different materials along with different sizes will produce different sizes. if you go with a glasspack straight pipe, with a wider diameter, youll get a deeper sound, though it will be louder. if you go with a muffler with a crossflow pattern, you should get more of a pur, quieter but nice sounding when you get on it.

what do you mean by getting a wider diameter?...cuz i have a 3.0 and i want it to sound beefy not like a v8 or sumthing and i dont want it to sound like a rice either...can i put a glasspack but not a straight pipe?....

Upgrading your exhaust piping diameter will give better flow but don't go overboard on it. The old "throwing a hotdog down a hallway" comparison comes to mind.
I've got the boring magnaflow & 22" resonator setup that so many other guys have and though it may be a bit overdone, I enjoy it. My baby really roars and grumbles. Ultimately, it really depends on the sort of sound you're looking for.

Sounds like what I'm looking for. How much did that cost you? and do you have a sound clip/video of it?

Muffler: ~$200
Resonator: ~$70
My new pipes + install cost around $400
There should be some videos on here if you search the forums. I don't have time to look right now.
