^^^ Have you read the guide? There is nothing in there about a DIY for transmissions. Take your own advice before posting.

To the OP - I've given up on asking Wilp to do one for us, he doesn't come around here much anymore and might be too busy, but you can always shoot him a pm and see if he'll write something up quick.

DIY Guide as in...

GUIDE
1 a: something that leads or directs another's way b: a person who exhibits and explains points of interest c: something that provides a person with guiding information.

Just because it doesn't tell you step by step info on how to replace your transmition doesn't mean it's not a guide... and I'm not just talking about the transmition section, I'm talking about the DIY guide as a whole.

The dude was wanting help on the transmition, He searched but didn't check the n00b guide so I told him to check the n00b guide for more DIY info and the next thing I know, some random guy gets technical on me. What is your problem bro? And I'm sure your post was sooooooo much more useful.... welcome back to the boards

You can get a transmition cooler to prolong the life. I don't know about any rebuild kits.

1. its TRANSMISSION.
2. his shits already slipping, you cant use a cooler to fix that. Just because you're reading shit doesnt mean you know shit. not yet atleast, getting there.
3. the OP needs to search a little more just for info, i know you cant find the DIY, but theres still a shit load of info. Check this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ission+rebuild
and this one: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ission+rebuild

If 2nd gear is slipping, its going to continue slipping till you replace it. Do a little research on it, its been discussed a lot on this forum.

Hey man i looked every where for parts and info for the tranny and its not easy man, so i finally just changed the torque converter and the shif solenoids and it works great but its not easy and your just gonna want to throw something at the car about half way through dropping the tranny but in the end it only took me a two of buddies to do it in a weekend.
you can go to www.delrayacura.com and get a torque converter from them.

Check my thread: 3.0 Transmission

Then go here and get a Helms Manual: Helm Inc.

The job isn't too difficult if you have decent wrench skills and an attention to detail. Disassembling the clutch drums is a pain without proper tools.
