Thought I had it finished last night, had the addition added and working, but couldn't run the wires that I had them, so I grabbed new LED's and am gonna try again tonight

i read this post today, and was thinkin bout trying it. then i saw the post that someone made about remembering about wrapping paper. i have clear red plastic present wrap. i tried it on top of the climate control and on top of my clock, it comes out good if i use 5 layers of it. i just finished doing my clock, i will post a picture later tonight. i had to cut the dimmer wire, its def. not as bright as stock, but illuminates enough that i can see it just fine at night. during the day might be a little tougher, we'll see.
Great DIY, very easy mod to do. I don't know about you guys, but personally I had to use three layers of Dasani film to get it to change to a nice blue. Looking forward to do the climate control and gauge cluster next.
