Links:

(1) http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...gi?product=CAR

This the cheapest supplier of LEDs. However they do not currently carry the superbright 6-led 3022 festoon bulb (for trunk), they do not carry the hyperwhite 5-led refractor bulb (for front corners), and they do not carry the 9led 3910 (39mm) festoon bulb (for dome).

If you want those check out:

(2) http://www.autolumination.com/

Finally check ebay for any loose ends.

There is a mistake on the 1st post. Klepto can you change the door leds to (4-led type recommended) and the trunk to (6-led type recommended)?

The 6-led type can't fit in the tiny door light wells. It only fits in the trunk light well.

They are backwards.

Then delete this post.

Thanks.

Hmm, I just ordered some LEDs, didn't realize the difference between the 5 led and the 1 led, but when they shipped, it ended up being a one LED...I ordered the ones from autolumination.com,
http://autolumination.com/194.htm

The One LED ones in the middle of the page, $2.49..Will these even work, Will it suck? I'd like to know so I can perhaps return these and get the right one before I pull the cluster sometime next week.

It will suck. Make sure you get the 5 bulb "matrix" bulbs.

Well, technically yes you CAN fit a 6-led flashlight style bulb in the upper and lower corners but it will be very dim. All 6 shoot straight forwards so the light doesn't hit the reflective parts in the corner lenses to fill them up. They are WAY dimmer than the 5-led refractor (aka matrix) style bulbs that shoot out light in all directions.

I've tried both, and the 5-led refractor is best for the corners (hence the "recommended").

Also if you are putting an led bulb for the REAR corners make sure you use RED ones. I tried hyperwhites but they make the rear glass shine a weird orangy-red.

does anyone know the bulb base for the turn signals. I don't like that orangey white color of the stock. I put the 6 led bulbs in the corner's. It's not as dim as u make it seem, it just isn't as bright as the 5 LED bulbs. But I'm happy for now!

ok today I got all my LED's in. I first started off with the clock. I couldn't figure out where the LED's where so I thought I'd better put it all back together before sumthin bad happens. so that wasn't a success. So i got an LED for the sunroof switch. Well the sunroof switch runs off of 12 volts, and the LED I used was on 5V so that wasn't a success. So today wasn't a very successful day for LED's. But ifanyone know where I can get some 3MM LED's (not the varad kind, just the bulb) that run off of 12V that would so cool.

IMPORTANT: I forgot to mention that 1997 CL's use 3022 festoon type bulbs for the front 2 maplights instead of 194/168's.

You can buy them here (I am not affiliated in any way with this company):

I've had a problem with my LED's I have a #74 in the gauge bezel, #194/168 for the higher RPM's that went out, my #194/168 Driver side driving light (in the headlight) went out, and #194 my right license plate bulb went out. I got all my LED's from superbrightleds.com than when this happened I called them and they replaced them. and now the driver side driving light went out again, but I plugged my passenger light in and it works just fine in that, but the bulbs are made with low quality. so I'm not really recommending them.

from every thing i've heard, the usage life of the led's isn't all that long, is that what everyone else has found out from experience? Is it the quality at which they are made/put together?

I've had all my internal bulbs in from superbrightled for over a year, and never had any problem. Just swapped out my gauge lights with led, and no problems yet.

anyones 9led dome bulb not what you expected? Put mine in and i'm not impressed. Happy with everything else, but definately not that bulb. I'm in the middle of a full LED swap now too and adding one accent light (like lexus or benz, very dim) for the condole from the roof, and two one under the dash on each side. will post pictures after.

Just thought I should mention that one of my Matrix bulbs from Super Bright LEDs kept blowing my parking light fuse, big time. The fuses were basically destroyed inside. It was such a strong current that it blew the security/radio fuse that is right next to it. Be careful with these. I'm keeping my blue LEDs inside, but I'm going back to incandescents for the outside.

i agree is nice and bright, but as far as output, does the color match the color of your map lights?

Thats the 9 led bulb i have as the dome light, not so happy.

also for the trunk did you get the one with teh 6 large LED's? I am happy with the one in the drunk, very bright.

i wonder if this might be a better option for the trunk (31mm)
