Im kinda confused here and maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
For the speedo cluster and tach do i need the neo4/neo5 wedge lights withe little twist thing built in? and what one the 4mm or the 5mm and how many?
And also the climate control unit to change out those to leds is it he same bulb if so how many should i get and 4mm or 5mm?
Also if i change over to a blue light will it show thru the green backing on the speedo cluster as blue or do i need to strip it?
thank you, there is alota info in this thread maybe i am missing what i am looking for i just wana get it right the first time and only take things apart once

No idea on the dimension of the bulbs they're 168 (there are a ton of bulb sizes that cross reference with 168 though I believe)

It's not really good for the relay, but it will work, I couldn't stand the rapid blink, and yanked mine out. You need some resistors

That clicking noise you hear when the blinker is on is the relay. A relay is an electrically controlled switch. When they blink super fast, you can overheat the coil. I've played with a relay before making it switch super fast, they get HOT.

the fast blink caused by the turn sig bulbs are bad for the relays, regular led bulbs are fine

hey chris i figured out what type of bulb that is, its a #31 bulb. superbrightleds doesnt have them but the vendor Prestigehid does. so if you could go ahead and add that bit of info to the n00b guide, that'd be great.

If I get the #6 LED bulbs for the maplight from superbrightleds, and the #9 LED bulbs from autolumination for the Dome light, will the colors be a lot different, or does it look good.

I did full interior/exterior from superbrightleds, only exeterior lights I could not do were the refractor types which I got from eBay. In total for everything I spent $85 including resistors for the turn signals and with shipping and all. And the dome light I got a 6 LED rather than a 9 which was recommended. It's just as bright as the stock dome light, and I got a 9 LED for the trunk which is perfect.

As far as quality goes, everything still works perfectly fine after 2 months or so with the swap. Everything is still going strong and looks real good. Others have had troubles in the past with LEDs, but I've had no issues thus far with them from superbright.

i recommend superbrightleds. i got most of mine from them and no probs. i got a few from autolumination, i like the SMT tower leds from them better. probably spent around $100 for corners, doors, glove box, gauges, maps, dome, trunk and plates.

fuuuuuuuuuu superbright is still out of the 9 bulb 3091 dome lights....anyone else have a source on these? I've done ebay and internet searches and still no luck...this must be a scarce size or something

I just spent 50 bucks on (4) vleds.com 3022 4 smt festoon bulbs...I'll let you know how they are when I install them. From the reviews and what's stated, says they're 2x brighter than the 6smt bulbs...and one of them can illuminate the entire cabin.

Great writeup guys, thanks again

I used the brightest 3091 that superbright has for the dome which is a 6 LED I believe. I noticed they didn't have the 9 either. The one for the dome that superbright has is just as bright as the stock bulb. I think it's bright enough.

And $50 for (4) 3022 bulbs...? From superbright it's wayyyy cheaper and they look good and are going strong. Anyways, let us know how you like em.

gracias guys...bummer that they dont have more options for the domelight out there as thats the primary source of light in the cabin

south: yeah bruh 4smt leds per door then one for the drivers side maplight and one for the trunk. these are the brightest that vleds has to offer and .5 watts per bulb...supposedly just one could light up the entire cabin easily...twice as bright as their 6smt led

expensive but ill give a review and pics to let you guys see for yourself
