yea yea another foglights thread!

what do u guys think? i'm looking to acquire a set of fog lights for my CL.

what do u guys think of the OEM fogs? i found a set for a 97, but from searching i noticed that some one said the 97 are different from 98/99?

can anyone post pics of the two different sets?

also has anyone gotten any accord or other honda fogs to fit?

i found a 95 accord fog light kit and a 99 accord fog light kit, both way cheaper then what acura wants for a 99 CL foglight kit.

any suggestions?

Foglights are coming soon for me, whenever I get a new bumper. I'll be following this thread.

I was just going to pick up some cheapos from Walmart, as they're going to be more for show.

I miss my stock fogs, they were sexy, they're an acquired taste, and mine were so rusty I had to dispose of them, but they sure gave teh car an interesting personality back in the day.

I had a set of projector fogs by Hella... they were pretty nice and small enough to be subtle. Tore a wire out of them removing my bumper though, and I don't know if they are fixable.

I've seen other members use 94-97 accord fogs but i don't know how they mounted them. I've been tryin 2 figure out if they would get attached to the bumper like the stock cl ones or if you need to make a custom bracket.

wow, i actually like the accord fogs. although OEM aren't bad at all. I'm also considering pulling the Hella's off the legend and use those BUT then i would eventually need to get another set of fogs for the legend. also the hella's are kinda small (but they are almost identical to oem legend fogs).

though call though call. anyone have a set of fogs for sale by chance?

OEM factory fogs are impossible to find as they have been discontinued, I would love to do OEM again but have already committed to my projector fogs, but this deal is unreal, someone should jump on this.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1997-...em230203652020

That's the cheapest I've seen, the cheapest I got quoted from a honda parts supplier was $200 not including shipping

Is it possible to install these on a '99 2.3:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-97...spagenameZWDVW

I never had OEM ones, so how would I mount them???? Pretty cheap to, and can request different color LED rings for no extra charge.

It is the same, the interior switch location and switch itself is different, due to the difference in consoles.

Guiness, that is possible as long as they send you the wiring which most every fog light kit does, if not I have a spare set from my projector fogs (which came with them) that I didn't use so let me know if you need them. THey're not hard to install at all. The modifications I did to the stock fogs was harder than installing a new set.

Shosh, adding on what I said about the wiring, all CL's were shipped with the wiring for fogs minus the switch and such, the install for the oems should be pretty straight forward, agranado had very little problems installing accord ones, the only thing is you will have to cut out the bumper plastic to accomodate them, but the bumper already should have the screw mounts so once u remove that plastic you should be good to go. Here's what the look like from behind,

And the wiring, they are H3 so you can install whatever kind of bulbs you want, I have 2 extra sets if anyone needs some.

Here's the hole after I removed my stock ones. I cut the vertical support cuz the fogs were so rusted to the bumper i couldn't get them out any other way. But you would have to cut the outermost horizontal pieces. The vertical piece would stay because you would mount the oems to it.

Yes, get an h3 HID kit, our fogs are H3 so you can HID any h3 fogs for our car, it's what I plan to do eventually, I've been through 4 sets of bulbs trying to match my HID headlights Could have had a nice HID h3 set by now, I've spent around $150 for just h3 bulbs

I dunno matt, different opinions, I don't think I would have liked them if my car didn't come with them when I got it. They're better than those yellow bug eyes up there though

yea i mean personally i dont even like fog lights, unless there like molded into the bumper, like you can with EG Civics, Preludes, 4th Gen Accords, etc. i just dont like fogs in general on CL.

even though i think a rear fog would look good and be different for a CL.
