Wumpa Wumpa Wumpa

My CL is making a noise from the front drivers side. It sounds like wumpa wumpa wumpa and intensity increases with spead. I can also feel it in the sterring wheel. It doues not go away when I apply the brakes. Occasionally when I put on the brakes the front end shakes. I'm thinking wheel bearings?

Has anyone replaced their wheel bearings? If so is it difficult or should I take it to the dealer?

i would suggest going to a dealer, you need to press the bearings into the hub assembly on the cl's and they need to be properly grease packed, i suggest doing a dealer, expect about 200 bucks labor, it pays them 2 hours for a wheel bearing job...but befor eyou do this, check the dust boot, i thought i needed new bearings and there was a rock in the dust boot making a thump thump thump sound when driving...Ben

lol, sounds like an alignment issue. My old car did the exact same thing and had a bent lower strut bar.
