At the shifter for the 97 CL's....is there any way to get that chrome ring thing around the shifting area? like the 98-99 CL's? Also the wood trim like Dustbuster....thats pretty tight

 

chech on ebay. i was on there yesterday and found a couple of wood kits for like 130 or so

You'll need to change to a '98/'99 console to get the chrome rings around the shifter. Not only is there a chrome ring, but the '98/'99 shifter plate is up higher (flush) whereas the '97 shifter plate is recessed with a black rubber ring.

hey dust you seem to know wat your talking about when it comes to the console, i recently purchased a full 98 center console, the whole works, do you think ill run into any problems fitting or electrical wise when i do the conversion?

 

I don't believe so. However, I've not sawpped one, so I don't have any person experience.
