the steering wheel was very easy to put on. many thanks to justin dyar for the detail instruction. thanks man. **his original post http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=84374 **
the oem hid was a b*tch to get it to focus properly with our housing, but finally got it to focus right. overall a pretty good week :o).
thanks

Those are very nice pics. Especially the wood steering wheel ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
It is unfortunate that this wheel is not compatible with our 97 steering wheels. I did find a site where I could have mine converted but the cost is prohibitive
Have you considered the projector conversion? Are you pleased with your current set up?

hey thanks for responding. i'm pretty happy with my current setup, but the light isnt blue like you see on many audi or bmw cars, it just very white with a slight blue at certain angle, however, the performance is very good. and no i havent consider projector at all because i have to remove the bumper to take out the light housing out, sorry, too much work, + i got the light to focus pretty good. the problem is that the oem HID bulb is a bit shorter than our 9006 bulb, when you try to swap an oem hid bulb into our housing, light just scatter everywhere because its not focus right, the hid bulb is too short. what i had to do was modified the housing, so that the arc of the hid bulb reach inside the housing with the same distance as the arc of the 9006 bulb would, and now its not scatter everywhere. i have a prettty good beam as you can see in the pic.

mike, the hid kit is an oem lexus is300 bulb and ignitor. i got it off ebay for $250. the kit is brand new, so the bulb will get bluer as it breaks in and shift color.
i got the wheel off ebay too. :o)

camera, the camera used was the olympus c2020 2.1mpixel cam. its pretty old actually. all pix taken w/o flash except for the second pix, which was taken with flash. photography is all about proper lighting i guess.
headlight housing, i had to trim about 3/16" length at the end of the housing, where you put the bulb in. i removed the little circle plastic thing, which hold by three screws, and using the three screw link by a piece of plastic to hold the hid bulb to the housing. its pretty ghetto, but it holds pretty good. sorry very hard to explain.
steering, i got the steering wheel off of ebay for only 80 bucks, really http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6766
try searching now and then for "acura wood steering" on ebay.
lastly, more pix of my car http://illuasian.hypermart.net/cl/
thanks guys

I am curious where you got your clear corners, because yours have the reflective corner and mine are all clear. I like the reflective corners. Don't quite know why either.

the corners are integra corner, right to left and upside down. once you re going this way, you cant go back cause you will be doing some triming for the integra corners to fit.
the rims are hp racing evo 18"
thanks for the compliments :o)

you will have to trim the bumper, and tie the corner lights with zip tie. thinking of it, i would rather go the other way. however, it doesnt look bad.
