Wood dash trim

Once again, I'm new to CL's, so please bear with me...

The wood dash trim that I see on most CL's. Does someone make a carbon fiber kit for that? I'm not a huge fan of the wood look. Has anyone come up with another idea to get rid of it or paint it or something?

don't know of any carbon fiber kits, but I think it would be pretty easy to paint. the pieces come off rather easily...

Actually, on their website, it just lists the wood one. I emailed them to clarify though.

What paint would be the best to use? I have the grey interior and besides possibly painting it all black, what type of paint would be best? It would suck to have it all flake off in a few years.
It would be awsome to have it all replaced by brushed aluminum...

they dont make any other kits for our cars, but we are in the process of having them chromed, which IMO looks much nicer on a classy car like ours than polished alum. anyway, i will keep you posted!

Hmm... I am sort of impartial about whether or not I like the faux wood trim in my car. But, there IS one thing I do know! And that is that it makes so much noise! The roads up here in WA aren't nearly as smooth as the ones I used to travel on back in Hawaii as a result of the PNW's four-seasons. And I notice that even on some fairly smooth roads my the plasticky faux wood trim panel running the length of my GEN 1 3.0CL rattles and squeaks! Anyone else notice this problem? My dealer thinks I'm hearing things.
