Winshield upper molding replacement.
SO, I have been putting this off for long enough. I just need to replace the molding on the top of the front windshield. It doesn't leak, it's not affecting the noise in the cabin or anything, it's just an eyesore. I bought the car like this, and managed to use it to talk him down in price. I figure a $30 dollar repair for $100 bucks or so off isn't too bad.
(the door trim is fixed now too)

It's part#1 in the picture at oemacuraparts.com under windshiled and upper molding. Although I might need to replace the part #2 as well on both sides from the look of it. If that's the case I see why he gave me the $100+ off.
The acura parts department know-it-all (at apple acura in York PA) doesn't know if they need to remove the windsheild all together or not, because in some acura models the molding acctually fits AROUND the window like a "U" or something and is installed before they put the windshield in at the factory? I think it's just that he doesn't want to do the work and the money for labor is just not worth it for them..... BUT I could be wrong..... I called local scrap yards and no one has these pieces, so it looks like online is my cheapest bet, since acura says it's like $35 for the trim.
So my questions are: Is it really nessecary to pop off the windshield? Can I find it cheaper? Does anyone have experiance with this? etc.
