Window Tint Selection

What is the tint manufacturer of choice? What is the ideal % as well?

I prefer to use Lumar tint, it's very high quality, plus I got a lifetime guarentee with it. I got 15% all around - not exactly legal but it looks the best IMO.

Formula One Premiere is what I have. It has metal in it and won't ever fade or turn purple. I used to have Lumar, but stripped it for the Premeir, I had to go legal. My CL ran about $250 to tint.

I got 3M. It also has a lifetime warranty, so you don't have to worry about it turning purple. I have had it on for 2+ years and it is still as grey/black as when I got it. Although the front windshield is not legal to tint, go with a 50% on it and it will drastically improve your look.

Superior Sound in Harrisonburg.

If you take the tint and tear it you see little fragments of metal fall out of it. There are no dyes in it. That is why it is kind of expensive.

Score one more for the Llumar. It looks fantastic and so much better than most of the jobs I see on a day to day basis. I have 15% all around and I get a decent amount of compliments on it. Mines not exactly legal either. But I am willing to pay a $40 ticket here and there because I got the tint job done for only $130 out in Arizona. Llumar is quality.

Don't know what brand I had put on (although it was one of the more popular ones), but if it starts to turn purple, I'm takin' it back. I wanted the warranty.

This is one reason I got the front windows as dark as allowed by law and no darker. I wanted the lifetime warranty, and if I need to use the warranty, I can go anywhere in the country that sells my brand tint.

I really wanted illegally tinted front windows though.

Personally, I think llummar sucks. It isn't dark enough. I use Johnson Films and I am a professional tinter, well, professional garage tinter, Johnson films WILL not fade like llumar
