I want to tint my windows, but I dont know how it will look on a silver car. Anyone have any suggestions as to how dark I should go... or even have any pics of their silver car with tinted windows?? Thanks in advance.

 

my only advice is if ur gonna tint it then go all the way dont do no 35% or 20% crap. get limo 5% the first time. black will look great on ur car and is much easier to get away with. titanium (where it fades to silver ont he bottom looks great also, but cops pick up on that way faster. no car from the factory has rear windows that look like that. depends on the cops in ur area if ur worried about tickets i would just get black.

So like Sumkid, I'm looking to see any pics as well--I have a gold color CL, with the tan interior. Apparently when you get tint and you have a light interior, a 35% tint will equal a 50% tint on a dark interior. True? I'm considering 50% more than 35% at the moment cause I'm not looking for a lot of tint, but any pictures anyone has would be very helpful...

 

VXCL- car looks great... Paint your windows to match?? I dunno If I want mine that dark though, the cops are kinda picky around here, especially with any kind of mirror tint, which I didnt want anyways.

Screw it, everyone that has tinted windows post your car up, and the tint amount... I wanna see what I like!!

Mine is 50% all around. The cop in Vancouver is quite picky so can't make it too dark.

damn boys your cars sure are clean! wish my car would stay clean like that for longer than just one week after having it detailed! btw, i miss my 5% tints. if you live in an area where they are pretty lax about enforcing window tint i'd go with the 5% black (a.k.a. "limo tint"). it's the classiest, IMO -- but RISKY! if you don't mind paying a ticket and possibly having to retint your windows then by all means do what i did and take a chance.

I would go with the limo tint if I were you. It would look sweet silver and black.

I agree if you get tint you should get it the darkest the first time. Its just like rims you always want the next step up after you get it. The cops around where I live don;t care that much so I have 1% all the way around except on my front and I have a 18 inch strip for the front in 1% and it is great.
