Alright so i didnt have time to replace my reg nor the complete know how, i.e. Chris was going out of town again and he was working on his car. Haha, but either way I got a mechanic to do it for me for 60 bucks, not bad being that some get charged 300+ at the dealership. Either way, it got replaced, worked a dozen or so times. Sat for a lil, and I came to pick it up and i tried, tried the one touch feature, went down a lil squeeky, than stayed down and wouldnt go back up. The motor died. So earlier he found that on the old one the cables got jammed or whatever, on this new one, the motor died. So now i have to go back tomorrow with a new one and try this again. I havent had my windows down in probably 2 or so weeks. Kind of depressing, and made drive thru's and the parking garage's a bitch but hopefully it will be replaced tomorrow.

The part was only like $98 at Advance Auto Parts which isnt that bad. My passenger window was going up and down slow so i thought that, that would be the first to go. But I went to Wendy's, put my window down, it was raining out and figures my drivers side decided to die instead. Oh well, It's a pain in the ass. Hopefully the shop doesnt charge me again for them having to uninstall the other one and reinstall the new one. That would suck.

By the way, I found a guy in the burgh lowered like 4inches sitting on 15" wheels. its an all white cl . i was talking to him on facebook but he said hes selling it.

 

thats funny i just went too dealer and got a new driver side window reg it cost 160$. my frend works at acura dealer and got it for cost for 107$ with tax.my passenger door went bad 2 years ago i fixed it by changing the cables one the reg knock on wood its still working.

 

damn that sucks

im too lazy to order one off ebay even though i could be doing it instead of writing this

and yeah my driver side window hasnt gone down in about 5 months, thats really depressing

 

Alright so basically I went and picked up the new reg from advanced auto parts. Since the one that was broken was still installed in my car I had to pay another 100 or so dollars to cover for it til i returned it. We installed the new regulator but when they took out the old one and moved the window up, my fucking tint was ripped about and inch or two and than a circluar tear the size of a nickel. So basically I was pissed about that. Than we found out that the switch was broken too. So thats another 100 bucks for the master door switch. The way we found out it was dead was we hooked up the battery to the wiring harness of the window reg and it moved up and down flawlessly. So now I need to wait til Thursday to get the switch replaced, than NEXT week im going to get my tint on my driversside stripped than re tinted for $30 which isnt bad. But still, im so pissed that my REG AND SWITCH both were broken. Oh well, atleast I wasnt getting it in the ass from the dealership.

Right now we're at 132.55 for the reg, $26 back once the OLD reg was returned, -132.55, old one returned(under warranty) +132.55 -$60 for installation of new reg, -109.28 for Master driver side switch, -$30 for strip and retint of window. Overall, $305.83 for all this shit. Basically the same amount the dealership would of charged me but than they probably would of added another 200 dollars for random bull shit.

Time to go wash her...
