Hi guys,
will this really fit our cars?
i know we have 16x6s with 42mm offset... this is 17x7.5 with 45mm offset... i think it's gonna add about 22mm to the inside ... would this rub?
thanks guys...

sup hougee....
I have wondered the same thing myself......
I know that people who get 7.0 inch rims with 205 width tires run 42 mm without a problem.
A 7.5 inch rim with a 225? wifth tire at 45 mm will stick out a little more correct? by a few mm......i would think it be ok...but I cant speak from experience.....
ANYBODY HERE WITH 7.5 inch rims???? help us out.

yeah.. i did some research.. i think the stock is either 40 or 42 depending on the rim..
heavy... i think sticking out is fine.. but i'm just worry about if it goes too far in and might rub the suspension...
i know someone has 18x7.5s with 42mm offset and he/she had to put spacers because it was too close to the calipers... umm...
yeah.. anybody with 7.5s? post ur offsets pleeeeeeeeease! =)

hougee,
if the issue is caliper clearnace.....it is rim dependant...soem rims allow for more room than others...
i believe the issue is the wheel rubbing the control arm.....i remember angelcl having 18's....and the tire was really close to the arm.......i dont remember her offset and width

guys.. check this out...
check out MikeSwing's reply... i guess 17.7.5 with 45mm offset should fit just fine! =) i wonder if it'll be alright with 225/45/17 tires.. um... but i guess if it doesn't fit .. it'll probably be very close... and there's always spacers...
RidinLow... check here ... i don't know which offset is for which wheels tho.. but 2mm.. the difference is pretty minimal i guess

Having the offset change from the original specs puts more stress on the suspension components & makes the car handle worse in general.
Plus, I don't really trust any vendor that needs Yahoo! do host their website.
I still can't find any other sites that give the offset though.

somebody correct me if I'm wrong but offset is the measurement from the centerline of the wheel (as seen from above) to the point where the wheel meets the hub (i.e. lugnuts) it can be measured on unmounted wheels if your good with a ruler. Hope that helps, oh yeah ridinlow has a good point about moving the weight around with too little offset, those neons with the tires sticking out break spindles and axles. look like shit too
