actually you have to take off the whole bumper and send it away to japan. the lights dont come off like it says in the manual. down-time for the project is about 6weeks, as you cant drive without the front clip on your car.

shipping overseas back and fourth will run you about 400, and the labor around 600. it is a worthwhile mod to tho.

oh.. your $500 non-refundable deposit will be due next week. i'l get in touch with you about that later on.

that was a good one buddy, thought you were serious, i almost called the shop back and cancealed my order. $600 for lights, damn what do headers cost $6000.


na i knew you were playin, shoot if that was true i would go buy a metro.

 

well if you have the 3.0 comptech headers will cost you over $1,000. if you have the 2.2/2.3 they will only cost 350.

 

and what kind of performance would that add, how many hp.
to your knowledge what mod gives the most hp for the money.

 

i'd have to say that just a generic CAI is the best investment. plus you get the sound too

the comptechs gove you about 20hp... but that is about $60 per hp.

the cai will get you about 8, and that is about $8.25 per hp.

those are rough figures at best tho.

 

i heard that if you put a cold ain intake on it does not really do much only because acura has the engine set up good to start.
hmmm 8hp for 70 bucks, not bad.
what other non expensive mods will give me some hp.

 

no... the engines from acura/honda breathe through a coffe straw. it's very restrictive.


get pulleys, and the venom 400.

and wait for the comptech supercharger.

get the CAI, and some AEM pulleys will run you about 80 bucks, you can get them for less from rmstoico i'm preety sure.

 

Yeah, the venom runs for about $300, check ebay sometimes you can get them on there a little cheaper. For a AEM cold air intake go to groupbuycenter.com, they have them for $191 shipped. For the pulleys everybody Ive seen mostly uses aem, so that seems like a good choice. Good luck

hey do you know any web site that sells clear lenses, i was looking at one yesterday but forgot to write down the site. they were really cheap too, $33, i think the company was in cali.

yeah you know how it is. i am at work and its friday 2 hours left. trying to get some good ideas for my whip. yo in your opinion does that shit from homedepot look good as a grille. and if i was to do it i have to take the whole bumper off for the bottom grille.

i dont thnk it looks bad. the 97 grille looks the best IMO. if you wanna do the bottom bumper, i suggest you get the wings west lip also because it tucks the gutter guard in flush.


you can just cut it to the outline of the gap in the front bumper and attach it. you dont need to take the front bumper off.

 

do you have an address for that japan shop, i will just send my whole car there with a list of mods.


same with the top grille, just pop it out and cut guard to right size.

 

what year is your car.. you can take the 97 grille apart and put the gutter guard between the plastic and the chrome.

i dunno about those 98 and up grilles

my car is a 98 and has the chrome probably same as 97. i guess i will try it.

The '97 grill is unique to it's own. The '98/'99 grills are the same. I have the '97 on my CL.

 

How much would a pulley install cost...and who does that. Can Acura install them?
