I'm newer than new. Found you all since looking at a '97 CL with really low miles- less than 27,000. Super clean-even still smells new. Able to track all miles/driving since original purchase. Super pretty black-immaculate interior too! Great price from private seller. Any thoughts?

ah-a Baltimore connection......
Man-these cars are really tough to find in my area, too. I've looked at a ton of these cars (what's been available). This car came from Chicago-nothing like finally seeing a car without Coroado driving conditions damage/wear on it! A few paint boogers on the front bumper-rock chip stuff. Really minute stuff there. The current price for this machine went down 1,500 bucks because there have been no bites out here in this remote place. By the way-I was born and raised in Baltimore. Great town-great cars-but the scenery is awfully pretty here in Colorado!

Sounds like a good to me. You did your homework too. Did you do a carfax? Make sure the title is clear? Do that, buy it, then take pictures and post them up here! Good luck. I'm thinking nobody knows of or even heard of that car in that area, so nobody buys it. If it's close to bluebook, buy it. Don't pay more than High blue book.

Carfax done
Title is clearer than clear. We're in the freaking mountains-everyone's in an SUV. But I'm heading to the lowlands-so this is cool for me. LOT'S of homework man. Can't tell you how many hours-days-weeks-months. Lost sleep over it all I think. Deal of the century man. Deal of the century I tell ya.....

Colorado winters.......
are brutal man-I fear it's gonna be ugly. Need lots of TLC and staying clear of those mag chloride trucks. Kinda scared. I've seen the damage this state can do.....

how handsome I am
I bought my 51k 97 CL 2.2 in miami for about $5500 w/tax/title/plate... that was an amazing deal I think, considering the condition its in.
Because yours is half the milage, im thinking you can try and swing at 6500-8k? Maybe even a little bit less. (im not exactly sure myself, so try and push the lower end of those numbers=b.)
Good luck with the purchase and I hope you can pull off a great deal![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

As far as your original question - if you are a female you will definitely look hot up in the CL. Not to mention it's got enough power for u and thats really low mileage. I bought mine with 82k miles on it 97 3.0 premium for 7K but it had brand new tires and brand new maintanance so i thought it was a pretty good price.
-I would say if you're looking at a 97 2.2 with 27k miles i would pay 9K for it. Probably worth a little more but you gota get a good deal. If it was 3.0 CL definitiely worth 10k.
- tell us the price of that thing and we can definitely tell you what's up. Acura makes a great car so if the price is right I highly recommend the vehicle.

sounds funny to hear of a place where there are no cl's around; i think there are about 5 in my neighborhood that i regularly see!
i'd say not to spend more than $10,000 on it (i paid $10,000 for my '97 (45k miles)). it's a great car and you should just go ahead and buy it, esp. if you've been putting so much time and thought into it.
