Will it fit

My steering wheel is starting to peel so i went to www.wooddashdirect.com
to get a wood kit to lay over it rather then get a whole new steering wheel.
They have on for the CLs but it reads 98-00 and i have a 97 so i was wondering
if it would fit my wheel, and does $164 sounds good or overpriced?

You might want to contact them directly and ask this question. There is little difference between the '97 and '98/'99 steering wheels, except that the '98/'99 models have audio controls on the left (opposite the cruise control bottons).

$164.00 seems steep for an overlay kit (even if it's real wood).

Check out my photos for a possible alternative. I don't know how badly your wheel is peeling, but if it's minimal, maybe try the wood strips like on mine.

Good luck!

the 97 wheel is totally different from the 98 and up. The 98 and up wheel has the spokes in different places, and is thicker in diameter. My steering wheel did that a while back, but it was under warranty, so I have a brand new steering wheel, free of charge. $164 does sound very high... although I have never priced them myself. You should be able to get a brand new steering wheel for that, maybe a little more. I'd look into that before a trim ring.
