Re: why did you pick the CL?

well.. for me.. it was mistake... lol

i was gonna buy 2000 GS-R in 2001... asking price was 19,999.. and.. i was making a deal with a dealer shop.. to make the price to 16g..
but then last day, right before i bought the car, i saw the CL right next to GS-R... and.. while i was waiting, i went in and drove in the parking lot... it was nice..!! and bigger than GS-R... lol

so.. for some reason i just bought it.. lol
that was my first time to see the cl.. but.. i bought it!! lol
after that, i regreted a lot!!! but now.. i like CL much more than GS-R ...

I wanted a honda/acura for dependibility, but I wanted something a little nicer and rarer than a civic or integ. Also a little bigger incase I crashed LOL. Plus it was about the same damn price as those cars and I got leather and a few other extras.

I was kinda sad at first when I lost to GSR's and ludes, but I knew I still looked better Now I got the H22 so I'm not quite as slow.

I really wish now that I'd bought a CL with like 300K on it for cheap and then just swapped an h22 but oh well. I know for next time.

I wanted something that didn't look like a kids car. To me an integra or a civic is a high school car (no offense tho) Plus I wanted a car that not alot of people have. And you live in seattle so you know that most Cl's around here are stock so it's rare to see one with stuff done to it. I love my CL, just wish I had more time to drive it

I thought the CL was elegant, sleek, and not too common like Integras and Accords. I really like the rear end and the smooth V-6. Also, it really isn't a kids car like an Integra or Civic.

I originally was shopping for an integra, at the Acura dealership the salesman got me to drive the CL. First impressions was that the interrior was miles above the Integra and after the test drive it was a done deal.

Well i got it dirt cheap from my parents a few years back. They got it cause they wanted a new car, but couldnt afford a bimmer. So they just settled for anything with leather.. Turns out it's pretty crappy leather.

well i wanted a 2-dr acura for a good price

The integra was too small IMO...even tho people wer elike "GET A GSR!"

I read about the CL....said that there was a 2.2 and a 3.0....but I didn't think I'd be modding it, so I wanted a big engine so I bought the 3.0

Now that I look at it....I shoulda looked for a 200k+ miles 2.2 CL then put the h22....have power and luxury....owell I'm happy with the 3.0

I'm a senior in high school....I paid $5000 + dad's $5000 for the CL....then I put about $2200 into modding a buncha things into it....

I still beat integras

I was looking for a "semi" luxury car. I was looking at a BMW 328, but the prices were outrageous. Since my wife was also going to drive it, it had to be an automatic. We already had an Accord, and I didn't want another 4-banger. So we got the 3.0CL.

BTW: We almost bout the 3.2TL. I'm glad we didn't!

well... at the end of last summer i was still living in florida finishing up my internship for college... i had my '97 eclipse spyder, which i was planning to sell in a few months after i moved back home. then i took it in to have the tranny checked out (cuz it was making noises) and they told me it was about to die.

since there was no way it was going to survive another 1000 mile drive back to PA, all of a sudden i had to find a new car within like 2 weeks... which sucked because usually when i'm lookin for a new car i spend MONTHS doing research, then another month or two obsessively checking autotrader.com until i find the *perfect* car.

so i did my research & picked the CL cuz it had good reliability and looked kinda hot. and because, after having an eclipse, i was lookin for something a little more unique. then i got lucky and found a black '98 3.0 premium w/extended warranty for a good price up in georgia... flew up there the next week and bought it never regretted it once, i luv my baby!!

I bought mine on accident. I had been searching for a Golf/Jetta, for a while, but couldn't find one with lower miles that was affordable.
My dad and I went to the VW dealership to check out a few cars, and saw the CL in the used car lot. I had never even heard of a CL, but we took it for a test drive, put a deposit on it, and drove it home a few days later!
My dad had to drive it home from the dealership tho, b/c I had no idea how to drive a stick. :o

I bought the CL for looks, luxury, and because i only see another CL every 1000000000000 years. Being unique is everything. and it is a good cruising car, Friday nights windows down system up i can go for hours.

i worked at an acura dealership and my coworker had a 3.0 slammed with C2's clears and a wwlip, i fell in love with his car and i was determined to get a CL...i mean really determined, i bought clear corners for the CL about 11 months before buying the actual car, i had my ww lip, koni shocks, skunkworks coilovers and more before i even bought the car....when i bought it a week later i had everything put on already...

i used to have an integra but i thought to myself if i want my teg to stand out i really have to do crazy things to it becuz theres so much tegs running around that you gotta do crazy things to be unique, i bought the CL cuz i know not a lot of ppl soup it up as much as civics and integras
