well i just started with my sound system and i tried to take off the grills to my mids and someone told me that there were 3 screws but i only found 2 because they were obviously right there but wheres the third??? can someone help

the speaker grills for the door speakers just pop off afaik this was in my 98 w/ bose

 

no not the speakers in the front the mids in the back the 6x9's

 

ah midds usually refer to the larger part of a component set such as a 5.25 and 1" tweeter.

if you look with some good light back in there and look around the edge of the grille you will find them, they are gold if i remember correctly

 

There are 3, they are in a triangle pattern. I had to lay in my trunk and look up. There are the 3 screws underneath, then 4 alan key screws on the top, quite a bitch if u ask me.

 

oh so you dont have to take the whole back deck off??? just the grills?? no wonder i had to hard of a time and just gave up. =P

 

You are more than likely gonna need someone to help you put them back on. They need to hold the grill down while you screw them back in. I tried to do it myself and couldnt, hence the reason none of the screws are in there. They have been MIA for like 6 months now.
