4G's actually. It's $4500 normally, but if you mention that you heard of it from V6erformance.net they'll take off $500. Keep in mind that doesn't include shiping, or installation labor.

So has ANYONE actually bought one yet? Within the next 6 months I'm going to either trade-in, or add the CL to the "project" collection. So if I keep it, I think the Dr.Evil tranny would eventually be a good investment, just want some feedback on it.

There have been a few people on the v6perfomance forums that have bought the tranny. From what I've heard, the transmission shifts are more crisp and a good amount faster. Its not a tranny for regular people who want unnoticeable shifts, but the current trans in our car shifts slower than some decent stick drivers, so speed is of good importance. The bell housing is black, so if that makes you randy, all the better. It's designed to handle 500hp, but most people are running at the most around 260whp. Throw on a 120 shot and have some fun.

If you want to truly take advantage of the tranny, you'll want the basic bolt ons, including intake, headers, exhaust, cls cams, lighter pullies, and some decent internals, cls throttle body, 3.5L block conversion, comptech supercharger, a decent shot of zex, and some fuzzy mirror dice.

All of this seems a bit rediculous, but its something truly custom and would definately win over the favor of a lot of people. Will a fairly modded mustang gt or something similar beat it, probably with the same amount invested. It's all really up to you if you want to pursue that or not...

i emailed them, but i havent heard a response back on weather they would sell me the pro-kit so i could do the self install. lookin at the other x missions on thier list its not too expensive for the parts. maybee 800$ to include torque converter and differential. i think 90% of the cost is in the labor. so if this works out. im definatly goin turbo, + id have the first 1g 3.0 with dr.evil (that i know of). ill let yall know wadup later.

Good stuff. Thanks.
My buddy is a heavy-duty diessel mechanic, so when I make his '69 Chevelle LOOK like new, he'll make my CL GO like stink.

I heard from someone that the Dr. Evil tranny for the 98-02 Accord wont directly fit the 1st gen CL.........is that true? I forgot who told me, but someone confirm this b/c before I heard that I was interested in that tranny too.

yea, the mounting points are not the same. the mounting points are for the 98-02 accord and we have mounting points for the 94-97 accord. however, i think there are still spots there to bolt up to and really shouldn't be that much of a problem. or like what was suggested earlier, get the internals and have a reputable tranny shop build your specific transmission up.

it depends on what year the 97's have m7za 98/99 have b7za. all the books say 98/99 are still m7za but the only difference is an extra sensor that the 97's have that 98/99's dont. however that sensor is vital to the 97 tranny, so u cannot use a 97 tranny on a 98/99.
