When you do a swap

Just wondering when you swap an engine & tranny in. Do you swap in it's ECU as well or do you have to have your own ECU reprogrammed. Which way is easier. Does having an ECU swapped in, cause any side effects to the other functions of your car?

That would be real nice, but cost would be a huge issue esp in a new car. Probably be cost effective in about 3-4 years when some of them reach the junkyard.
