what's wrong w/ my techometer?

I just replaced my gagues that i bought from ebay.. it was for manual(mine is auto), so I took everything out inside and swap them..

everything works perfect and goes up smoothly except for the techometer.. the needle doesn't go up smoothly when i press gas.. but it moves..

what do you guys think the problem is??

if the guage face is bowed AT ALL it will grab the needle and make it stick. if im right then ur rpm guage stops then shoots up little by little. and gets stuck maybee on the way down in the same spot. the only thing u can do is eather re-allign the faces or super glue in one spot near the center of the guage where the needle goes thru.

ajbent86: i was talking 'bout my after market oil pressure and the stock techometer..

wilp99: I don't think it's the allign problem.. cuz when i had my old one, it had same problem.. so i thought i touched something when i changed the gauge faces.. so i changed to new one.. but still have same problem.. also, it moves as well.. but when it goes up, it stops like 0.5 sec and goes up and stops, up, stops, up.. like that.. not smooth...

hmm.. i think i should bring it to some shop..

i meant.. i didn't change the gauge faces.. i changed the instrument cluster..

u know.. when u saw one of my pix, u said that "speedometer needles was pointing at 40mph"

and.. i broke the needles when i changed the gauge faces to s7..
