What is the normal position of the temp gauge?

When the car gets warmed up, it sits at about the 4 o'clock position. Is this normal? Or should it sit at 3 o'clock? Thanks.

some people say that it should normally be at the half way mark... mine typically is beteween 1/4 and the 1/2 mark... i think ive only seen gone above that once or twice in the summer... why, do you think your thermostat is busted?

I am just curious. My other car was like that and I replaced the thermostat and it went up to half (normal).

This is good news. I just don't want to run hot, while the thermostat is telling the car that it is cool.

i definitely wouldnt let my car sit for that long, its a bad idea, no matter how goddam cold it is outside....believe me i know from experience after overheating my accord....heat is my greatest enemy, besides my ex-girlfriends..

temp. guage should be below 3 o'clock, if it gets up around there, it's something to check out...my experience with hondas taught me that at least

NEVER more than 1/3... if it reached the 1/2 I would be concerned.
