what the F***

So... I was under the impression that I wouldn't need a camber kit with lowering springs. Apparently I was wrong, I just got an alignment and here are before & after results.

Before:
Left front
-camber -1.8
caster -3.3
toe -1.43
Right front
camber -1.8
caster -2.5
toe -0.77

Left rear
Camber -1.0
toe 0.48
Right Rear
camber -1.2
toe 0.26

After

Left front
Camber -1.6
Caster -3.3
toe -0.3 (decent)
Right front
Camber -1.7
Caster -2.5
toe -0.4 (decent)

Left rear
camber -1.0
toe 0.54 (frozen toe frozen bolt)
right rear
camber -1.2
toe 0.09 (decent)

I will post up the pic of the chart and more when I get home from dinner or later tonight. I am so pissed off right now.

why the hell is your caster so off? thats weird. and -1 to -1.5 isnt THAT bad, my boy is riding -2.3, going through tires like every 4 months lol. I think i'm at the same level as you on the camber actually, and i have no camber kit

Yep, you need a camber kit for any drop over 1.5" this is well documented on this site

I just went on the ingalls site and found camber adjusting control arm mounts for $77 a pair, does that sound reasonable? Is that what I need?

Those will work. I opted for the adjustable ball joints though.

I got the anchor point ones. The ball joint ones ...I've heard/seen on AZ that they will smash into your strut tower if you're to low.

you don't want this one tho.. -3/4° to +1° Camber Adjustment.....

You want more angle adjustment than that...Don't get polyurethane bushings for it either.

I have only been dropped 1.7-1.8 inches max so is that too low for the anchor point ones? Probably not right? I don't know crap about this stuff...

Can anybody link me to the ideal stuff for me to get?

Those were front. I had polyurethane ones and they squeaked a lot. Some people have managed to get them not to squeak but it was way to annoying. Another camber kit+alignment later my car was quiet again.

This is for the rear.

I'd like to hear some input from someone that has that front setup since I'm only familiar with the front ball joints, the rears are what I plan to get eventually

the wear is universal across the tread, although i doubt ive driven far enough for it to make an impact. ive only put about 500 miles or so on it since i dropped it

wow, that sucks dude
i dunno what all this talk is about from heavy wear from just camber
i think i've put about 20000kms on my already well used tires and they got life left, and i rub pretty good on the fronts

after alignment i have
left front
camber -2.69
caster 3.14
toe 0.02

right front
camber -2.94
caster 3.58
toe 0.02

left rear
camber -2.49
toe 0.08

right rear
camber -2.25
toe 0.10

wasn't much different before the alignment tho, just the tow was out a bit, but not even what yours is out now, the most was the left front at -0.34

good luck Nate

edit: note this is running no camber kit, just k-sports and nothing else, i like my camber

I installed that kit a couple weeks after I put my coilovers on and got an alignment a week after that. I've had some suspension repair work done since then and haven't had time to get another alignment. I have to run a good amount of negative camber to keep my control arms from slamming on bumps and dips, but caster is fine. Install is a piece of cake, less than 30 min per side. I haven't messed with the rear.

If I could go back I would probably have gotten the ball joint kit instead.

wow, this makes me glad I went with the Neuspeed springs, I didn't have anything out of spec by more than .75 deg before alignment and everything within spec after. right at -1.0 on my camber. I wouldn't even want to go lower either, for clearance reasons.

You guys think these ^ ^ ^
would be better? They cost $105 as opposed to the other Camber Adjusting Control Arm Mounts which are $85 ... I am trying to buy the $85 stuff i don't have much money.

So balljoints or camber adjusting control arm mounts? Would prefer to spend less, but if the balljoints would be better... let me know

I have the anchor ones and the rear camber kit...ingalls all around. I'm on tein SS though. If that makes a difference to your choice of camber kit etc...

I got the anchor ones because I saw other users on AZ complain about the ball joint/control arm slamming into the strut tower.

If you're low enough though. You're gonna drive with negative camber anyway to avoid rubbing.

And you can only adjust the anchor ones, and the ball joint ones to probably, so much until the control arm hits that little lip on the inner fender...

camber kits are garbage. unless you're slammed 3 inches, tire wear is minimal. just watch your toe adjustments. that will eat your tires in 2 weeks .
