Can't get the blue&white to do shit. Amp fuses and 4ga fuse are all good, solid battery and pretty solid ground. Can't get that bitch to fire up.

Wiper fuse is switched power, could hook it to that as well. Cigarette lighter is also switched, can tap off the positive lead there, or just hook it to the red ignition wire from the aftermarket deck. Endless ways to get switched power.

Also, if the blue and white is not giving you 12 volts, you may want to see if you have to turn it on in the deck first.

cig lighter would be good to tap into and you could put a switch on it, for a while, I ran a line straight to the battery with a switch in the middle

you could even go straight to the accessory wire in the ignition harness if you want.. also remote turn ons are generally blue from aftermarket radio harness's, although the power antenna ( blue and white ) does generally work.. it wont all the time.

my cigarette lighter is dead, although the radio works so it's not the fuse ... might have to tech that at the same time.

You have that backwards (unless you use cheapo offbrand radios with odd colors) Blue/white is amp turn on and blue is power antenna.

ran it into the red wire to the deck - still didnt work, but every time I got out of my car and touched the door i got like zapped like a mother fucker. Thinking my ground needs some work, lol. Pulled the 4ga fuse until I get it redone.

Invest $15 in a multimeter at walmart, will make life great for troubleshooting.

those smart harnesses were about 80% defective.. cheaply made and the pins fell out of the plastic clips all the time. its more effective to cut and splice the end..

Most definitely a power/ground issue or the amp is toast. If you decide to rule that your new ground is good and you still don't have power, you will need either a multimeter or a new fuse. Your current fuse could possibly be partially blown.

that metal isnt really anything good enought to ground too.. especially if you didnt scrape away any of the paint on it before you grounded to it. go to the wheel well on either side of the trunk.. thats what i had to do

I've grounded to like 5 or 6 places in the trunk, and the best place I've found to ground to is one of the bolts for the rear shock towers, never had a single ground issue there

it was my "pretty solid" ground - crimp was mad loose inside the rubber jacket. Ran a new hole through the metal behind the back seat, down low, sounds nice now. Wanted to use a shock bolt but didn't have a big enough hole in my lug...

what gauge wire did you run? its ideal to keep your ground no longer then 18"... so depending on where you ran it to, you may have to keep an eye on it.

hmm. and no power whatsoever? is the amp shot..? try running the remote turn on off of a live wire, or just branching it to the B+ you ran to see if the amp will actually turn on.

i know this may sound dumb.. but some amps have options as to how you want them to turn on. i have my kicker turn on when it gets audio signal through the rca's.. is it possible your amp's switch is flipped ( if it has one at all)
