What do you think about these?
I am thinking of getting a set of motegi MR7's in white. Although they weigh a whopping 27.5 pounds each... compair to stock rims 20-21 pounds how is this going to affect my torque and things like that? speedometer odometer?
This is a pic:

Along with those a set of 225/40-18 Nitto NT555's These will fit the motegi's right? 18x7.5
I was planning to get koni yellows and I have a neuspeed sport springs but looking at the konis plus the springs cost around 750 plus installation... assuming I don't try this myself. And the tein SS only cost around 900 or something... if someone can fine me a better deal on tein SS I'll probably go for that.
Yes there has been discussion about offset but I really don't know that much about terminology. So the offset is the distance between the mounting hub and the center line of the rim right? So with the motegi's being a 45mm offset that means they should fit right without rubbing and if they are I will need spacers? meaning it will push the rim outward? will this still fit under the fender so I can have a low drop with the teins?
Does someone have 18x7.5 rims with a 225/40 tire on it with pics or experiences with drop??
Thanks in advance.
I tried to get someone in the photoshop forum to chop a pic of these rims on the cl but no one responded after a month boo oh well I think it will look good on the naples gold/champaign color... or when I get a paint job.
Sorry about all the questions.

Damn that is heavy. But oh well our cars are already slow enough. +42 offset is perfect so +45 should be fine. Most people with 18's here have 225/40 series tires, so you should be fine on that too

teins basic only cost 800 or less. you should look into those if that's around your budget. i don't like the rims personally but if you like it, then that's what's important.

I am trying for 5 or 6 spoke rims in the 600-700 range shipped. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am thinking white powder coat or polished. not chrome though. Any comments would be helpful thanks.

So anyway I didn't go with either... I ended up getting RS Limited. 20 pounds each and +42 offset perfect right? Ricochetts silver with polished lip and center cap.

Look a bit on the small side for me lol... the 7 spoke OEM rims for the 3.0?? I guess weigh 20 each so I am assuming the 5 spoke weighs around 16-18 as well so getting 2 inches larger and staying under 20 is great for me with headers and exhaust to come soon... fuck the economy... I should be fine... I got AEM cai already. and WTF there is a pressure dent in the tubing. like there are cracks in the clear coat and it isn't scratched looks like someone pressed it in. Bastards is there a warrenty of some kind I think that is kinda wack.
