what do i need to beat an eclipse GS-T?

a friend of mine has a stock GS-T and i was wondering what i need to beat him when we race...what mods do i need? thanx...

They're as fast as a 3.0 stock...Atleast when I raced one I was neck in neck with him all the way up to 80 where we both shut down... So you'll need, I/H/E/Nitrous to beat him...My friend had a 2.2 engine with I/H/E and I still creamed him everytime. So def some nitrous in there.

I couldn't beat one when stock!

Now I have no problem killing them.


BTW: I raced one at 75-80 Raceway, and he ran a 14.8 ET. I don't know what mods (if any) he had on his GS-T.

believe it or not, a gst and a gsx and just about the same speed in the quarter it all depends on the driver.. you can either have awd or weigh 300lbs less..

it's about as simple as this..

so wait...gst is the turbo....gs is the crappy low one....and the gsx is ???? which one is the AWD?

gst is turbo
gsx is awd turbo, wth a weight disadvantage
A 2.2 needs a lot of cash invested to beat one of the above. I/H/E N20 would prob do it. IMO, not worth it.

Can a GST some in a AUTO???

say i was to race a GST...(bad driver...id have the driving advantage) but all i have done performance wise is CAI/E......would it even be close or would i end up cryin when i saw his taillights???

if the gst is auto and its a bad driver.. it dont matter.. if its manual and he's horrible and maybe his clutch falls off... or head blows.. you got a slight chance..

think of it like this..

they got a 2.0l turbo.. we have a 2.2l
they have a lil bit of a weight advantage.. i think

but..
you see them everywhere
they usually have close to 108097060 decals
somet of them arent modded.. ones that are blow up over 50k

ill let you know how it goes once i turbo my shit.. im damn sure the others who have boosted kill dem bishes..

damn! i guess i'll have to wait til my dad swaps an H22 into his accord to beat that GST...i was thinkin bout doin the same thing to my car in the future, but is it really worth it? or should i just save up for a new car? im leanin towards the new car...any opinions? thanx...

You're still not gonan beat a GST or GSX with an H22A swap unless you build the internals. H22A will only possibly get you into the 14s. If he starts modding, you're toast.

true.. if i were you i would build up the engine ya got and boost it.. not as reliable as a h22a, but you'll kill an eclipse..
2.0l turbo < 2.2l turbo.. use ya head
