My dome light, map lights both wont come on anymore.

my rear defrost switch doesnt turn the rear defrost on anymore, and my adjustable (first setting) windsheild wiper setting doesnt work, only II and III.

Its like my car is slowly dying electrically.

Fuses are fine

what else could it be?

 

The multi-combo switch that controls the lights, turn signals, wipers... That switch can make life miserable for your car. Lights and things will quit working.

Commonly known as a headlight switch. You can get them at an auto parts store, but your best bet is looking in a junk yard somewhere. $10 > $150.

 

the headlight switch, has got to be a differnet switch than the wipers and the DOME light and the MAP lights.

AND my rear defrost.

I cant find ANY place these are all interlinked by switches, possibly a relay though.

all my headlight functions work, my first wiper setting doesnt, the other 2 do. The rear defrost switch doesnt work, the two map lights beside the sunroof and the dome light behind the sunroof dont work either.

I dont think the headlight switch, which stands alone on the other side of the car, is controlling all of these things.

 

It's a multiple relay i believe

the map lights and dome light share the same fuse i think.i know you said it was good but you might want to double check all the fuses. cause some components share 2 fuses with other things.

 

Very true ^^^ The switch I am describing resides behind the steering wheel, and the two wands pertrude from it. The wands control tiny rods that actuate the switches in the combo unit. These tie to dash lights and other items on the harness. as for all the stuff on your dash not working... hazards, Map lights... those systems are tied at the fuse buss level and some of them dash lights and clock and radio dimmer are tied to the multi-combo swtch. It is a dealer or salvage part... AUTOZONE does not sell this part... I got one for my Civic when my wipers and turn signals quit working... then I couldn't turn on my headlights, and thiss all happened over the course of two days.
