i did that like a year ago...although i just did the acura symbol...not the actual word "Acura"....the same guys who did my "ACURA" stickers across the windshield made a smaller acura "symbol" for my side windows and the 3rd brake light....

If ya wanna see...go to my WWW, pict CL11 shows the "ACURA" on the front windshield and CL12 shows the "symbol" in the 3rd brakelight

thanks guys, it's really easy to do, although i'd say do NOT do it unless you have a spoiler with an LED brakelight, otherwise it's probably highly illegal

1. Unbolt 2 bolts under the 3rd brakelight inside the trunk
2. Unplug the wire harness to the light inside the trunk
3. Remove 3rd brakelight
4. Take the 2 plastic pieces apart, you'll see how to do it
5. Remove all the screws that hold the clear and red plastic in place
6. Once you have the red piece by itself, mask it out with black vinyl or electrical tape
7. What I did was print out the ACURA from this site somewhere and then taped it lightly onto the red piece over the electrical tape
8. Cut along the shape of the letters with an XActo knife
9. Remove the cut out letters
10. Reassemble
11. Prop your brake pedal down with somethin
12. examine your work

hope that helps

i see you have a light on your spoiler and in your window. the previous owner of my car had the spoiler installed at the dealer after he bought the car, and they made it so just the one on the spoiler lights up. is there an easy way to make both work? i would remove the one from the window but it appears it would leave a hole

that's nice, im gonna do that as soon as i get a chance. i can only do DIY mods that are free right now cuz i just spent all my money and some that i dont even have yet on my pullies and cam gear today.

do u think it would be possible to make the red plastic into a blue color so its a blue light? i got a spoiler so its ok for me to change it.

There is only one plug i see back there. They ran the wire for the spoiler brake light from the plug that would go into the window light. So i can make one or the other work, am I missing something or is my spoiler wired differently from yours?

xrunner, i'm not 100% sure what you're talking about, but i'm sure there's a way to make both light up. My spoiler LED light is wired right into my brake light line.

greencl, it looks nice and clean during the day. It's behind the glass, so you cant really see it unless it's lit or you're VERY close to it
