waxing new paint

i recently got my trunk and rear bumper fixed and painted due to an accident. the job was done about 2 weeks ago. how long should i wait to wax it? i don't want to mess up my beautiful paint job!

I was thinking i should wait at least a month, but i'm not sure...

thanks.

It used to be a month or more, but nowadays, clear coats cure very fast. I say 2-3 weeks is more than enough time.

Since it's humid out there i'd give it 30 days, if it's pretty hot a little less

call your body shop and ask. it all depends on how they paint/cure the fresh paint.

Depends on the place and how they cure the paint. Some of them u can wax right away or come pre-waxed. Some takes a while. I suggest u call the shop.
