washer camber trick question
Hey I was just wondering how low you can lower your car using the washer trick with the tires still being inside the specs and what is the max amount of washers you could use.
Thanks for the help in advance,
Charlie

it all depends. there are so many factors involved. tires, suspension, what do you consider "inside the specs" etc etc. there is no one magical number that will solve everyones problem. your best bet is to try for your self, start out with 4 or so and go from there.

alright but is there a limit to how many I can add before I totally mess everything up. I dont want my suspension breaking due to having to many washers and I just dont want my stock tires on stock wheels to wear badly. I am a poor college student who cant afford to keep buying new tires because they wear bad so those are the two things I am worried about.
Thanks,
Charlie

you will need to get longer bolts. how can you mess something up? if you end up having positive camber/tire rubs, then take out some washers. if you feel as though you have too much neg camber, then add washers

Make sure to buy at least grade 8 rated bolts!! I would try for grade 10 if possible. Should have no problems at all with grade 8 though. Its just that stronger is always better in this case.
With about a 1.25-1.5" drop i used about 4mm worth of galvanized (wont rust) spacers. I swear it was only 2 i needed at about 2mm each. Could have been three though. Too long ago. Also used stainless steel bolts.
