Hey everyone, I'm new here so go easy on me. I've got a '99 2.3, and I want to start upgrading with aftermarket accessories. I'm not sure exactly how much I will upgrade, but I know for sure that I want to drop it, new cai, etc. Anyway, I was wondering what kinds of problems anyone has run into with the dealership on upgrades. I used to install car audio and continue to work for a large car audio retailer, so I know how difficult dealerships can be about modifying anything. Thanks for your help!

 

I/H/E void nothing. except maybe ur 02 sensor when cuz of header install. pullies will void anythign with ur alternator and power steering most likey. if u drop ur car u void anythign with ur suspension. just take ur parts off and put stock back on when something breaks if it does. so far i have had no probs. but i havent installed my pullies yet. i have I/H/E and venom 400..

 

I want to get an aftermarket waranty. I dont have one now and think i would like one because i noticed the windows are slllllooooowwwwwiiinnnnggggg down =(
Do you think the waranty would replace the windows, and if so would it be worth the $.
How much to replace both window motors?

my extended warrenty is from acura themsleves and they fixed my windows for free. i know nothing about any other warrenty companies. i do know that u cannot extend ur warrenty with acura if ur original warrenty is over.

 

Do you have any clue how much it would of costed you to fix your windows ?

 

like 200+ for just one if u need a new motor or regulator.

 

Acoording to the Acura dealer that I go to, only the part that you replace with the new aftermarket part would be excluded from the warranty. Do a quick search, since this has been discussed before.
