Wanting to Buy 1st Gen CL
Hey guys whats up I have a second gen, but one of my friends is wanting to buy a first gen and I don't know much about them, what should he look for or not look for, he wants to spend about 10k in the kansas city area if anyone has any incite i would appreciate it, and how fast are the 3.0 in the quarter and horse power on the 2.2, 2.3, and 3.0

hey-- 3.0 1/4 mile stock is 16.0 flat
doesnt matter really about 97-99.. there's only a few tiny upgrades that dont make that much of a big difference
i've heard there's one guy selling his CL, i think it already has exhaust and maybe some other stuff-- oh yea and i heard it has LCD's/DVD... he works at 95th and Mission Rd Gas Station
i'll see if i can find some info out for ya

i have a 97 2.2, most of the mods are from the 94-97 accord for the 2.2 and 2.3, and 3.0 engine stuff is from the 98+ accord

1999 CL3.0
basically for the cl all the kits from accords 94-97 fit body with minor difficulty
other wise its basically an accord thats mad nice
make sure ur boy doesnt make it bad like riced..
clear corners , pro-kit , kyb agx shocks , and audio enhancements
(xhaust headers and intake for speed...)
are basicaly the most easy and beneficial mods

I reccomend a 3.0, but it doesnt really matter, 2.x or 3.0's are S L O W until you hit about 4500 rpm...Just tell your budddy to get a 1st gen w/ the Premium package..seems to hold resale value a little better

Make sure he gets a 5 spd (If he doesn't mind). They only make 5 spds in the 4 cyl 2.2 and 2.3 models. It's a nice strong tranny. The 3.0 only come with auto and that tranny sucks.
