Wanted to do 5% tint.. but I've heard it's scary to backup at night? Any insight?

Wanted to do 5% tint.. but I've heard it's scary to backup at night? Any insight?
I guess I could always go with 15% front and back, then 5% on the sides, but i've always liked a continuous look all around the car, so that takes it out of the picture.
Does 5% really make it THAT dark at night? I don't wanna get it if it's hard to back up at night... lol

Super dark. Out in the country it will be almost no sight, city you will see but it will be hard. Depends on the lighting. As long as you pay attention when you drive you should be fine.

That's REALLY dark, that's pretty much limo tint. You will def have problems backing up.

In Kansas, 35% is the legal limit. I went 20% because I wanted it a little darker. Ive had friends w/ 12% get pulled over and reamed for their tint too dark. (one friend got pulled over by HWY partol on the HWY and the cop made him scrape off his tint using a razor blade on the side of the HWY.....Ive been in cars with 12% at night and it was even pretty hard to see.
Honestly, I'd go 15%ish (if they offer that where u are) but you still might get F*ed by the cops. 20% was the right decision for me. Looks good, dark enough at night and still able to see. (My friends yellow mustang had 12% and even in the day time, looking in you could barily see some things at times.
Also, dont forget turning corners....dark tinted windows, cant see the curb or anything stickin out in the street....

get 5% all around or else!! i have white reverse bulbs they help a lot, but i end up rolling down the windows when i have problems.. eventually youll get use to it. and yes on pourly lit streets it sucks.. but thats why you have HIDs and foglights.. i need em badly

I believe mine is 5%, and at night I can't see a damn thing... I gotta roll with the windows down after dark, but it's okay. Here in vegas 5% isn't to uncommon because when summer hits it's an oven and that it makes a big difference...But to answer ur question backing up is a bitch but u get used to it.

get those things?... the ones that makes noise when you back up..BEEP BEEP BEEP... so you dont hit anything and if you do then oh wells. or if you cant get one just yell move the F over everytime you reverse. haha! peace man just joking!

) I've yet to get any shit from any cops, but that's probably cause there's so many modified cars (and cars with dark tint all around) for them to care anymore.

i had one side red and the other side blue.. but.. it seemed kinda illegal so i switched it out to regular white strobe.. looks like a car show all the time when i back up.. haha
those HID reverse lights are kinda cool IMO

see the thing is i live with like 75% asians, drive a limo tinted acura w/ bronze rims. so they cant see im white unless i roll the windows down.so well see.. maybe its because so many other kids have HIGHLY modified cars.. or i just got my windows down often enough.. thats the thing to do.. unless its raining or way to damn hot, i have my windows down quite often..
