Want to buy my first Acura

I just check out a 99 Acura CL 3.0, 115K, clean title, and i love it. There are some normal scratches on the body since it is old. But the driving feels great.
I did some research, and find out people complaining the tranny problem of this model, which made me a little bit hesitated. I am just a student and i don't have much money spending on repairing it in future.
By the way, this car seems from rental company, is that OK to buy?
Any reply is appreciated, and i am excited.

I've never heard of a cl being used by a rental company, nor would I buy a car used by one. ask if the tranny has been replaced and get the carfax history of the car and see where its been, then u can be closer to making a decision.

I thought it was from rental because i saw in the report, the car had high mileage in certain periods, and it also has been auctioned twice, which made me a little confused.

over the course of four years, they put 38k miles on it. rental companies dont buy used cars, and thats incredibly low miles for a rental car. not to mention i just did a couple quick searches.. and there arent any obvious rental cars that rent CL's

From: is everything.
If anything it would say Fleet if it were rental or a company vehicle. Just looks like it has changed hands many times. Regardless, I wouldn't buy a 3.0 if I had to buy another CL.

The auto transmissions in the 3.0 models are known to slip and wear out alot faster than the manual 2.2/2.3 models. Be careful about that if you buy a 3.0.
