W7 vs L7

I have been doing some thinking and i am thinking about making a custom setup with my 2 12L7's and ditch the idea of w7's for many reasons, primarily being size money and bang. I love loud bass but i think 2 10w7's would be the end of the line in a car that shakes and rattles at everything.

At the crossraods, guys help me out...

I have both speakers, 1 15L7 dual 2 ohm, and 1 13W7. I use to have two 12L7's but got rid of them just to upgrade cause they were the first model of the L7 series for the new model 15. W7's are shit expensive, what are you trying to do? How much for the JL 450/4?

And to answer your question i just want loud and nice i was gonna put in two 12L7's with two 500/1 amps. or two 10w7's with two 500/1 amps.

450/4 used less then 4 hours with manual 450 shipped to the 48 continental, since you are in Hollywood i could do it for 440 and i could meet you somewhere.

what size box are the L7's in, cu ft. per side? my box that I had for my L7 12's was about 1.75 cu ft. per side, damn loud!

Just use one 12w7. And get a GOOD amp. Thats all you need. Two of them is just going to damage your hearing.

yeah.. I think go w/ one 12w7 is better.. otherwise, it's tooo loud..

i have a brand new 12w7 sitting in my room now.. and haven't put it on for like a year +_+

because.. i have 2-10" eclipse..

after i get rid of them, i'll put that w7 in.. can't wait to hear it.. ehhe

but.. i need a nice amp too.. not crossfires...

go w/ one w7!

i already have 1 10w7 sitting in my room, along with 2 12 L7's and 2 comp vr's. I was gonna do a nasty custom three sub setup in my car which would be two jl 1w6v2 and a jl 10w7 but i was assured that my car would fall apart. So i am leaning towards the two 12 L7's but i dont know. I dont really like the 12w7 for one reason. JL amps are my favorite and JL doesnt really make an amp for the 12. The 500/1 is too little and the 1000/1 is too much. I dont know but thanks for all your imput guys

I dont think your car will fall apart with the three sub set up but go with the w7's if you think it will be a problem I have a 97 3.0cl premium and Im kicking two audiobahn 700 watt rms off of a 1600 watt spl amp. My headunit is the new alpine cda-9835 and it bangs I am about to line my trunk next. but nothing is falling apart.

man i have heard a 12w7, 10w7, and myself i own 1 15L7 custom built box that i made 3.00cf + port, and as far as a amp i am only using like 500 watts and it is loud as hell and has a nice sound. personally i think that it sounds better then the w7 but that is just my personal opion
